Members of the High School Student Council learn to work together as a team, and develop life skills that will enable them to become responsible and active members of their community.

Student council is an extra-curricular activity for students at CAT. The representatives, (President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer) are elected by the student body at the beginning of each school year during an election week, where candidate teams are required to run a campaign, and are also required to give a speech or presentation in front of teachers and student body.

The Student Council plays an extremely important role in our school. The executive team helps share students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with the teachers and the administration. They also arrange fundraisers such as bake sales, to raise money for school wide projects. Some examples of traditional events organized by the Student Council are the Halloween Parade, the yearly Maintenance Food Drive, Valentine’s Day events, and more.
