Dear CAT Community,
It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of the Middle and High School. I am honored to be a part of this vibrant community of learners, educators, and families, and I am eager to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of our school.
With 13 years of experience in education 11 of which I have been in an international setting, I have had the privilege of working with students, teachers, and parents all over the world to create learning environments that are supportive, challenging, and inspiring. My journey in education began in Australia where I received my bachelors degree in education before working in a public elementary school. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, Malaysia and Brazil. I have also worked with students from kindergarten all the way through to 12th grade. In addition to this, I obtained my master degree with a focus on school leadership and restorative practices when supporting students’ behaviors. These experiences have shaped my belief that every student has the potential to succeed and that our role as educators is to provide the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
At CAT, my vision is to build on the strong foundation that already exists. I am committed to fostering a school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their fullest potential. I strongly believe that the school’s vision of “Learning for Life” is something that can help foster the love for learning that is so important to be successful in life. One of the most exciting things that I see here at CAT is our commitment to progressive education and empowering students to be active participants in their own learning journeys.
Open communication is key to a successful school experience, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Together, we can create a positive and nurturing environment that prepares our students not only for academic success but also for life beyond the classroom.
Warm regards,
Jacob Baldassa
MSHS Principal
