We are glad you are interested in joining Colegio Americano de Torreón.
CAT is a 70 year old legacy institution in Torreón, a city located in the North of México. We are a school dedicated to an inclusive, international, and bilingual learning experience. For this reason, we are always looking for bright and passionate educators who want to make a difference, and grow in an innovative and socially committed global environment. CAT is well known for its tradition of excellence, and for having a dynamic and progressive curriculum.
We also have the highest acceptance rate of any school for international universities in the state. We look for teachers with a multicultural and international outlook, who can contribute to our community through having a holistic approach to education, and who have a growth mindset that is in line with the spirit of a young city founded just over a hundred years ago by people from all over the world.
Torreón offers all the comforts of a metropolis, but does not have the urban issues of a big city. It is also a diverse community where descendants from Spanish, German, French and Lebanese countries among many others have made a thriving place of opportunity where major corporations have been born and people from different backgrounds have made a life.
The city is also well known for the friendly character of its people, as well as the warm climate, low cost of living, connectivity and proximity to the US border, which is only 5 hours away.
Please contact us, so you can explore the possibility of teaching at one of Mexico’s leading international schools, and quite possibly having a rich cultural experience in our city.
Thank you for considering Colegio Americano de Torreón. Applications to the School are handled through the Human Resources Department.
