Library Mission

CAT recognizes the responsibility of promoting the value of libraries and strives to provide a place for students and staff to appreciate the power of information. Our mission is to be an essential element in preparing individuals to become literate seekers of information, to encourage a passion for reading, as well to support the learning goals for each grade level alongside with the teachers in the classroom. We are dedicated to provide access to a balanced collection of print and electronic materials that will enhance the independent learning styles of lifelong learners.

Library Facilities

There are three ample spaces with lots of natural light where students, teachers and parents can find the printed collection at Colegio Americano de Torreón both in English and in Spanish.

The Early Childhood Library is designed to welcome and make our students feel comfortable as they look or read the books and enjoy their class.

In the Elementary Library there is a big instructional space for the library classes, reading spaces and several tables to work.

The Middle School and High School Library has a comfortable reading area and work space where the students and teachers can collaborate to achieve their goals or just to relax and enjoy a good book.
