It is a great honor and privilege to be the General Director of Colegio Americano de Torreon. I have had the fortune of being part of this institution for over 25 years. I have been a student, a teacher, a mother of students, and an administrator of a school that is constantly evolving for the benefit of its community. CAT seeks to offer students a place where their creativity and curiosity are essential for learning, and an empathetic, safe environment in which they overcome challenges and develop life skills.
Since its foundation in 1950, CAT has been one of the leading international schools in our country, providing a rigorous, bilingual/bicultural education, a wide range of sports, as well as an extensive arts program, to Mexican, U.S., and international students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. Students who graduate from our school are accepted into national and international universities with great success in different areas such as medicine, engineering, finance, law, among others.
Our school’s success is made possible thanks to all stakeholders. CAT´s talented teachers provide meaningful learning experiences that enable students to succeed in an ever-changing world. The trust that parents place in our school and their unconditional support motivates us to constantly improve our teaching practices and better serve our students. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our administration, maintenance, technology, and human resources staff, who make sure we have the best educational facilities and services to foster learning.
I am confident this school year will be one full of achievements and learning. I look forward to seeing you at our school.
